At each financial year-end, following an internal audit, a formal return of the annual accounts has to be submitted, within a fixed timescale, for approval by external auditors appointed by the Government.

The Precept is that element of your Council Tax that is paid to Billesdon Parish Council.
Every year, the Council draws up budgets and calculates how much money it needs for the next Financial Year. These are usually finalised in the January Full Council meeting and then submitted toHarborough District Council for co-ordination. HDC come up with the rate to be paid from 1st April that year.
Details of the Council's budget for each Financial Year can be obtained from the Clerk.
