Annual Governance and Accountability Return for 2021-2022
Billesdon Parish Council is required, to complete an Annual Governance and Accountability Return (AGAR), setting out Accounting Statements and an Annual Governance Statement for each financial year. These statements and their supporting documentation are audited by the Council's Internal Auditor and sent to the External Auditor for a limited assurance review.

Final Bank Reconciliation to 31st March 2022
Billesdon Parish Council is currently in the process of changing its banking to online with Unity Bank Trust online account which will also include the finance for the Joint Burials Committee which has previously been held in a seperate account. Going forward all income of the Joint Burials account will be included the Unity Account making it easier for Parishioners to decipher the Parish Council income and expenditure.

Precept
The Precept is that element of your Council Tax that is paid to Billesdon Parish Council.
Every year, the Council draws up budgets and calculates how much money it needs for the next Financial Year. These are usually finalised in the January Full Council meeting and then submitted toHarborough District Council for co-ordination. HDC come up with the rate to be paid from 1st April that year.
