Harborough District Council is the local Planning Authority and they have full powers when considering planning applications.
Billesdon Parish Council is consulted on all applications falling within the parish boundary. These are considered by all Councillors, assisted by the Billesdon Planning Advisotry Group on contentious issues. Comments are then passed to HDC for their deliberations.
The existence of a Conservation Area within the village, and the Billesdon Neighbourhood Development Plan for the Parish, both impose restrictions on planning applications. Moreover, trees may have been issued with TPOs (Tree Preservation Orders) and HDC should be consulted before any work is carried out (see 'Village Informaton - Directory' for further information).
See the main Planning page for latest planning applications.
